XRF Alloy Testers|Alloy Grade Identification |Alloy Grade Verification

Alloy testing for alloy grade verification is an essential requirement of many businesses such as consumer electronics, aerospace, scrap recycling, petrochemical refineries, etc. A countless number of businesses depend on robust tools that allow them to quickly and efficiently identify alloys by grade, as well as obtain complete quantitative alloy chemistry. Contact Bruker today for more information on handheld XRF analyzers!

Just some of the industries that depend on fast, portable ways to verify alloy composition and avoid materials mix-ups are:

In each of these industries, there are multiple reasons why alloy grade verification is mission critical, but all these industries have one big reason in common: materials mix-ups and out-of-spec alloys can be very costly in more ways than one. The finances and reputation of a company can suffer greatly due to incorrect alloys in their products. Additionally, most of these industries are subject to regulatory requirements that demand rigorous alloy testing, whether to check for toxic heavy metals in consumer products, or to ensure that the correct alloy is used every time in a life-or-death situation such as aircraft manufacturing and maintenance.

Alloy Grade Identification with Bruker XRF Alloy Testers

Bruker, a leader in portable XRF technology for alloy testing, offers four models of handheld XRF alloy analyzers. The Bruker S1 TITAN 200 & 300 are entry-level XRF instruments with an Si-PiN detector, a 50 kV x-ray tube, and provides grade identification of alloys in the most common metal classes. The S1 TITAN 200 & 300 are value-oriented instruments and can identify common alloys approximately within 5-10 seconds.

The Bruker S1 TITAN 800 & 600 are the state-of-the-art in handheld alloy testing and analysis. The S1 TITAN 800 and 600 boasts a silicone drift detector (SDD) for the utmost in speed and limit of detection, a 50 kV x-ray tube, and a robust alloy library that includes exotic alloys, etc. The S1 TITAN 800 and 600 can identify most alloys within 2-5 seconds (Light Element alloys containing Mg, Al, and Si take just a tad longer). It provides near-laboratory-quality alloy chemistry in a lightweight package, weighing a total of 3.3 pounds for comfortable all-day use.
